The SCIMAKER Lobster Safety Cutter & Box Opener (12-pack) is a compact box opener for desks, mail drops, and shipping stations, with a recessed SK-2 steel blade, a blunt plastic tape splitter, and a 4.9 in (12.5 cm) symmetrical body for either hand.
How It Works
Recessed Blade
A dual-edge SK-2 alloy steel blade sits inside the cutting channel of the lobster-shaped body.
Tape Splitter
A blunt plastic splitter at the nose starts the seal, and the guided channel keeps the stroke on the tape line.
There is no button to hold, no lock, and no blade length to set: hook the body over the tape and pull.

Materials and Details
The fiberglass-reinforced nylon body has identical channels on both sides, so left- and right-handed use is the same motion. A hole in the tail takes a lanyard or a hook.
Use it for packing tape, envelopes, paper mailers, shrink wrap, and light packaging. It is not a heavy-duty industrial cutter, and the blade is not replaceable.
