The SCIMAKER Dual-Mode Snap-Off Utility Knife, 9mm is a narrow-blade snap-off knife for detail and craft work: lock the blade for long cuts or hold a button for a blade that retracts on release, with a 9 mm (0.35 in) high-carbon steel blade.
Two Cutting Modes in One Handle
Lock Mode
Push the slider forward and the blade locks in place for long, continuous cuts. Slide it back by hand when the job is done.
Auto-Retract Mode
Press and hold the separate button to extend the blade. Let go and a spring pulls the blade back into the handle.
Use Lock Mode for a long, straight cut and Auto-Retract Mode for quick trims, without changing tools.
What the 9 mm Blade Is For
The narrow 9 mm blade suits paper, film, vinyl, wallpaper, thin cardstock, and craft materials. When the edge dulls, snap off the used segment to expose a fresh one.
Cutting cardboard boxes, shipping cartons, or tape? Choose the 18 mm Dual-Mode Snap-Off Utility Knife.
Built for Daily Cutting
An internal metal rail guides the blade during the cut. The rigid ABS body has black TPR rubber grip zones, the layout works in either hand, and no batteries are needed. The handle stores up to 2 spare blades.

FAQ
What is the difference between Lock Mode and Auto-Retract Mode?
Lock Mode holds the blade out until you slide it back. Auto-Retract Mode extends the blade only while you hold the button and pulls it back when you let go.
Should I choose 9 mm or 18 mm?
Choose 9 mm for paper, film, vinyl, thin cardstock, and crafts. For boxes, cartons, and tape, choose the 18 mm knife.
What refill blades does it take?
Standard 9 mm snap-off blades.
Can left-handed users use it?
Yes. The layout is ambidextrous, so the same knife works in either hand.
Does it need batteries?
No. Both modes are manual; the auto-retract action uses a spring.
